Video Memories from
Your Slides and Photos

Do you have boxes of slides and pictures that you never look at?

Would you like to share your memories with family and friends?  Excellent for a special birthday, wedding, or anniversary.

Do you want to include titles and descriptions with the image to help remember those special times?  Include professional looking transitions between the slides.  And if you have video, we can include them also.

Re-capture your memories by putting them on a DVD so you can watch them without the fuss of getting out large photo albums or setting up that slide projector.

See the examples below:

Christine and Suzanne had a box of over 200  35-mm slides that their father had taken in the 1950’s and 1960’s.  They had not been seen for years; memories stuck in a box.  Using state of the art software, I was able to convert those slides into a shareable DVD complete with titles to describe the photos and music to compliment the images.  The DVD made a great gift that was appreciated by all.

"Ed translated 100's of 35 mm slides that were collecting dust in the attic into a meaningful DVD that we viewed and shared with the whole family - near and far", Suzanne B, Southbury

In preparation for their Father’s 90th birthday, Ed, Richard and Marion combined their efforts to provide their father’s favorite photos and music.  They were then edited down to a 10 minute tribute centered around several themes about their Father’s life that was shown at the birthday celebration.

"The 15 minute DVD was a highlight of the 90th birthday weekend celebration.  Organizing the 100+ 'family classic' photos and slides around themes with our father's favorite music brough new life to the family's memories." Dr. Marion D. Tel Aviv, Israel

Edith’s memories of her two week rafting trip on the Colorado river through the Grand Canyon were vivid in her mind, but the photos did not convey the magnitude and grandeur of the experience.  Using some special words she put together about the trip plus some other photos of the Grand Canyon and some nature-oriented music, the DVD now makes her experience something she can share with her family and friends.

When Bob and Dawn's son was getting married they wanted to share with the wedding party some of their many memories of his growing up.  So they and the bride's parents went through their favorite pictures of each child, mixed it with the children's favorite music and made a 12 minute video that brought smiles, laughter and tears to everyone's eyes.

How does it works?

Each project is unique and depends on your objective as well as the materials you have.  Typically it begins with a discussion to determine what you have in mind.  From there I take your photos and put them into the program along with the music you have in mind.  We then review the draft DVD to see if the sequencing, music, titles and transitions work well for you.  Then the final DVD is prepared.

What does it cost?:

There are many determinants of the time it will take to prepare your DVD so it is difficult to give a precise answer.  Here are some of the elements:

Photos:
Scan of photos or slides ($.50 per image)
No charge if photos are provided digitally on Cd

Video:
$15.00 plus $.25/minute for each video tape (analog)
$10 if digital video on mini tape or DVD

Music:
No charge if you provide the music on CD’s

Working together we can develop the “script” – the order of the photos, chapters for the menu (optional), titles and captions.  The typical price is $50 plus $3/minute of the finished product.  So a 10 minute video where both  the photos and music are provided by CD would cost $80.
